----
S.R. 101.15 | Mail Room Letters
By Bethany Reeves

S.R. 101.01 | Tallying Votes
By Zeke Whisenhunt
This resolution aims to clarify the process of vote tallying in the Abilene Christian University Student Government Association (SGA) Senate. S.R. 100.11 | Athletic Credit for Spirit Squads
By Isabella Sloan
Currently, the dance and cheerleading teams do not acquire a (PE) or athletic credit currently at ACU. However, the dance and cheerleading teams have to follow same protocols and implications as other athletes on campus including the NCAA sickle cell test, physicals before participation, and athletic concussion screeners but are not considered for a PE credit. Spirit squads spend time working 3 to 4 practices a week and accumulate time on weekends which averages 6-8 hours a week. This does not include performances at games which can accumulate to 13 to 14 hours weekly. Therefore, the 100th Student’s Association Senate helps push for ACU SPIRIT SQUADS on campus to acquire athletic credit.

S.R. 100.08 | Elevator Maintenance
By Tamil Adele
Elevators and equipment of its likeness, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration, are to be inspected every twelve months. Most of the elevators around campus show that the elevators we use have not been inspected since 2020. Working elevators that are safe are of great importance, especially for individuals who depend on them, such as people with disabilities. Therefore, the 100th Student’s Association Senate urges the administration to inspect all elevators around campus.

By Gabe DeVries
There is currently no law governing the way in which names are ordered on ballots for SGA. S.R. 100.01 | Change parking sticker location
By Johnni Fuller
Student safety and comfort is a top priority of the university. The student parking stickers being in the current location provides an identifiable mark of the demographic in the vehicle, and moving the parking stickers to the front windshield provides students the option to limit unwarranted identification while traveling off campus. Implementing a change in sticker placement does not impose additional costs on the university and mitigates feelings of unease in students regarding off-campus safety. Resolved the 100th Senate authorize this request to be
undertaken by the Executive Cabinet to support student safety.
